The Andy Schrier Scholarship had such an influence on me! It had such an influence because it helped boost my confidence in being a student and teenage parent… I thought because I was a parent people would look at me as an irresponsible student.

But because of my winning of this scholarship it showed me that being a parent didn’t matter because I was a determined parent and willing to put effort into winning the scholarship!
